Kashmiri Saffron is a unique spice cultivated in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir in North India. It is considered the most expensive spice in the world. The red thread-like pollen particles are obtained from the vibrant purple-colored saffron flower commonly known as Saffron Rose and botanically called Crocus Sativus Linnaeus. Each thread is handpicked from the crocus flower, and each flower only yields three threads. It takes over 400 threads to produce just 1gm of Kashmiri Saffron. They are picked in small batches at dawn each day as soon as the flower opens to protect it from the sun and maintain its softness.
AMLA
